The ACC8 is eight singers from the internationally acclaimed Australian Chamber Choir, directed by Douglas Lawrence. The ensemble has appeared in the Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields and Albury Chamber Music Festivals. In this performance, the singers will perform Byrd, Bach, Brahms and Bruckner in a one-hour program. Following the performance in Mandeville Hall Chapel, all guests are invited to a drinks reception in the Oak Parlour (pictured above). This is a subscribers only event. Pietro Perugino painted The Delivery of the Keys in the newly-constructed Sistine Chapel in 1481. Music written by Josquin and Palestrina for the Sistine chapel was intended to give listeners an idea of how it would feel to be transported to heaven. It still does.
